A Typical Day at Ocean Camp

Each day at Ocean Camp follows a format that allows for consistency and organization while providing a unique daily experience. On a typical day, campers start the morning with ice-breaker or team-building activities, followed by a brief introductory activity based on the weekly theme.

These activities take place in the air-conditioned classrooms of Pacific Whale Foundation’s Discovery Center in Ma‘alaea, equipped with multi-media equipment, lab equipment, private restrooms, and other facilities.

Campers are then transported to field trip sites in our 15-passenger vans (campers under 8 years of age must bring a booster seat with them). After the field trip, BYO picnic lunch, and a bit of play, campers return to the classroom for more hands-on science based learning and other fun activities.
