Doris Todd Christian Academy has been well known for its academic excellence and solid Bible teaching in all grades from preschool through grade 12 for over 60 years. DTCA fosters an attitude of love, respect, trust, and community – where each child is made to feel like they really belong. In addition to our strong academic program and Bible study, we offer many activities for the well-rounded growth of each child and teen: Science Fair, Geography & Spelling Bees, Sports, Art Showcase, Chess, Cooking, Drama, Spanish & Garden Clubs, Operation Christmas Child, and more!
Students learn a character trait in Hawaiian each week to grow and respect the Hawaiian culture and instill Christ-like values. They are then given the opportunity to display those values and show the love of Jesus to our community in service projects such as: picking up trash on Baldwin Avenue, cleaning Paia gym, doing yard work for neighbors, and making leis for veterans. Students keep up with the latest technology by learning computer coding, software, etc., and classroom Chromebooks & iPads are provided to enhance their learning experience. Singing, speech meet, and middle school band – we love for our kids use their talents on stage! Our loving, nurturing teachers, give students a safe learning environment. They are mentors who are truly invested in each individual student to cultivate their character and academic growth.

Doris Todd Christian Academy always invites applicants for PS-HS, provided there is space available. In grades other than kindergarten, the number of openings is dependent on withdrawals. This number is confirmed the end of February after re-enrollment. Please ensure that all documentation is submitted by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications for the current school year will be considered on a space-available basis.
Admissions Schedule

April – Financial Aid Notification
Testing- Applicants (K-8) are required to take an entrance test. The school office will contact parents to schedule a testing date.
Interview- Once all application forms have been received and testing is complete, the school office will contact parents to schedule an admissions interview.
Notification- After applications, test results, recommendation forms, interviews, school grades, and other data are evaluated by the Admissions Committee; notification of the admission decision will be made. Upon acceptance, the Registration Fee must be paid within 15 calendar days of notification to hold a spot for the applicant. Admission notification continues as long as there are vacancies. Students in the waiting pool will be notified when an opening occurs.
Waiting Pool- A waiting pool will be started when a class reaches full enrollment.
Late Applicants- Late applications will be considered on a space-available basis.
Tuition Assistance- K-12 families may apply for tuition assistance once the applicant has been accepted.
