See Award-winning Hula Dancer Perform at Kihei Library July 22

Hulali

Hulali (r), winner of the prestigious Kahili Award for hula dancing, will present “Mai Pu’uwai” (From the Heart), a free performance at Kihei Public Library on Tuesday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Hulali, a life-long Polynesian dancer and entertainer, will offer an extraordinary hula performance that has been said to give audience members “chicken skin.”  Hulali’s graceful and breath-taking performance is said to radiate and reflect genuine aloha to her viewers.  A talk story session will follow the performance.

Hulali has performed in Tavana’s Polynesian Spectacular show in Waikiki, Tihati’s Drums Show in Kaanapali, and for the past 21 years as the award-winning dancer featured at Hula Moons Restaurant-poolside at the property currently known as the Wailea Marriott Hotel.  In addition, Hulali has represented the Maui Visitors Bureau at out-of-state events throughout the years.

This program is suitable for all ages.  All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
