PROJECT KULEANA

Saturday, September 5

7:30 pm • Castle Theater

Come to the MACC this Saturday and be inspired! Several of Hawai‘i’s finest musicians will be on hand to help you expand your kuleana. Project Kuleana is a movement to utilize music as a vehicle to educate our community and develop layers of understanding to strengthen our lāhui Hawai’i. The Project was created by three native Hawaiian musicians who share the perspective that kuleana is what makes music Hawaiian. The event will include screenings of several short films, live performances from featured artists in the films: Palani Vaughan, Mike Ka‘awa, Sonny Lim, Ernie Cruz, Kainani Kahaunaele, and Napua Greig, among others and Q&A talk-story sessions. Join Hawaiian artists from across the pae ‘āina in a virtual, interisland kanikapila promoting lōkahi, aloha ‘āina and kuleana!
