pumpkins 1A favorite Fall tradition for many families is pumpkin decorating. Here are some creative alternatives to pumpkin carving

1. Mosaic Pumpkin. Cut various sizes of masking tape, stick them on your pumpkin then spray paint the pumpkin black. Let the paint dry, then peel off the tape, revealing your mosaic pumpkin. Another fun variation would be to spray paint the pumpkin one color, then add your tape and spray paint using a different color.

2. Decopauged Pumpkin. Use decorative scrapbook paper and modpodge to create your own one-of-a-kind pumpkin

3. Glow-in-the-Dark Pumpkin. Use glow-in-the-dark dimensional paint (Tulip) and draw a fun design that will glow at night! Note: painting your pumpkin white first will boost its glow capacity.

4. Painted Pumpkin. Round up your acryic paints and let the kids go to town with their own painted creations! Whether your little artist is into abstract or realist painting, it will make them feel accomplished to create their own artwork.

5. Island Pumpkin. We live in the perfect place to create island pumpkins. Here’s one way: using pale blue, green or white pumpkins, add a bit of fish netting to the top, and use a glue gun to embellish with seashells, starfish and other sea-like items. JP
