One way to beat the heat and get your kids involved in the kitchen is to make frozen treats together

Frozen Chocolate-Covered Banana Bites –

Ingredients: 1/4 cup Chocolate Chips, 1/4 cup Peanut Butter, Two Large Bananas.

Set out a cookie sheet with parchment paper on top. Cut up the bananas into 5-6 pieces each. Heat the chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove until melted. Stir until smooth. Dip banana pieces in the chocolate mixture, then place on parchment paper. Cover the top of banana pieces with remaining chocolate mixture. Place pan of chocolate-covered banana pieces in the freezer for about an hour. Once hardened, transfer treats into an airtight container to freeze overnight.

Frozen Yogurt Buttons –

Ingredients: Your Favorite Yogurt.

Place a small ziplock bag over a cup. Fill the ziplock bag with yogurt. Snip one corner of the bag. Pipe onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Place pan in freezer for one hour. Transfer yogurt buttons into an airtight container. Store in the freezer until ready to serve.

Frozen Chocolate Banana “Ice Cream” –

Ingredients: 3-4 Bananas (sliced, then frozen) A spoonful of peanut butter, 2-3 tsp. cocoa powder. Instructions: Place frozen bananas in a food processor and blend until smooth. Once it’s completely smooth, you may add the peanut butter and cocoa powder for more flavor.

Frozen Grapes –

Ingredients: Seedless Grapes. Instructions: Thoroughly wash seedless grapes. Remove grapes from stems. Place in a ziplock bag or airtight container. Freeze overnight.
