4th of July Celebration & Fireworks

Stroll historic Lahaina and enjoy holiday specials in many oceanview restaurants and town shops. For an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration, listen to a variety of bands play in a free concert on the oceanfront Lahaina Library lawn starting at 5 pm. A fireworks display lighting the night sky over Lahaina’s roadstead is scheduled for 8 pm. Fireworks can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout Lahaina Town.

Makawao Parade
Makawao’s paniolo parade will begin at 9 a.m. on July 4, proceeding up Baldwin Avenue to Makawao Avenue and ending at Eddie Tam Center. The parade’s theme this year is Hoʻohano i Na Koa, or “Honoring the Warriors.”

The 60th Annual Makawao 4th of July Parade gallops off Saturday morning at 9:00 am and you can watch it all LIVE and commercial free right here on Akaku Channel 55. The 60th Annual Fourth of July Makawao Parade will be live this Saturday, July 4 at 9:00 am on Akakuʻs Channel 55.

Sea Turtle Tour Upgrade

Ever wonder what happens to young honu, or Hawaiian green sea turtles, after they hatch and make their way to the open ocean? Discover a “honu” world with a Marine Naturalist as your guide. You’ll learn about the “Lost Years”, find out how the turtles at the Aquarium are cared for. Enjoy venturing behind-the-scenes and helping with a feed at the Turtle Lagoon! $10 plus Aquarium admission.

Join a Wet Naturalist at the Discovery Pool and/or Tide Pool for exciting hands-on presentations on Hawaii’s marine invertebrates. Talk Story & Hula Lessons with Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana

Learn about Hawaii’s beloved green sea turtles in an up close and personal setting. Guests will learn about the biology, behavior and diet of green sea turtles from the team that cares for the animals on a daily basis. This activity is included with Aquarium admission.
