Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui, Inc. provides programs after school and all day during the summer and intersession for kids ages 6 to 17. When school is out, Clubs are in.

The mission of BGCM is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Our goals are to increase graduation rates, improve youth fitness and health, and introduce young people to community service and leadership.

BGCM programs are designed to encourage Club members to realize a wide variety of positive outcomes, a strategy for developing the “whole child.” The Clubs are staffed by youth development professionals who exemplify our values of fun, respect, character development, education and `ohana. Not just after-school hangouts, our Clubhouses are safe and positive places where young people come to have fun, learn, do homework, develop social skills, express themselves creatively, and participate in sports. Our young members develop a sense of belonging and connection to the Club, and make connections with one or more trusted adults. Continual learning is celebrated and reinforced in every interaction, activity, and area of the Club.

Youth become members of the Club for a nominal fee of $5 per year, or $10 for a family. But we can provide scholarships for the membership fee so that no child is turned away. We serve over 7,000 Maui County youth annually through our six Clubhouses and outreach programs. BGCM Clubhouses are located in Central Maui (Kahului), Kahekili Terrace, Paukukalo, Haiku, Makawao and Lahaina. In addition to the Power Hour homework requirement, other activities include arts, music, sports, computer lab, gardening, cooking and field trips.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui, we believe that success is within reach of every young person who walks through the doors of our Clubs.
