Baby-Proof Your Home
While cooking, keep pan handles turned away from the edge of the stove, as baby may get curious and pull down a hot pan.
Keep blind cords tied up safely out of reach.
Put “slam-stoppers” on doors so little fingers don’t get caught when they close. One handy tip: cut a pool noodle to size for use in this way.
Affix bookcases and dressers to the wall.
Keep cleaning supplies and other harmful products out of reach and/or locked away in a cabinet.
Put “edge-cushions” on sharp corners, like coffee tables.
Place proper safety gates at the top and bottom of every stairwell.
Use electrical outlet covers to protect against shock.
Baby-proofing your home is an on-going process. Continue updating as your family needs demand.
